Product Description

Suvarna Desi Hallikar Cow Ghee is a desi ghee made from the milk of Hallikar cows, a native breed of Karnataka, and prepared by the traditional bilona method, as printed on the pack. It is available in jars from 100 ml to a 2.5 kg dolchi tin. Cow ghee is loved in Indian kitchens for its golden colour, mild sweetness and comforting aroma, and a single spoonful is often enough to lift a plain meal. The range of sizes lets a small household try it in a 100 ml jar, while larger families and festive kitchens can choose the 1 L jar or the dolchi tin.Use it the way ghee has always been used: over hot rotis, parathas, rice, dal and khichdi, for tadka and sauteing, and in halwa, laddoos, sheera and other traditional sweets. Ghee handles cooking heat well, so it is also a dependable fat for shallow frying and for roasting spices. A small spoonful added at the end of cooking gives dishes aroma and a rich finish.Always measure ghee with a clean, dry spoon so that no moisture enters the pack. In cool weather the ghee may turn thick or grainy, which is natural and does not affect its quality; it softens again at room temperature, or when the closed container is placed in a bowl of warm water. Avoid heating ghee until it smokes.Store the jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep the lid closed tightly after every use. Please refer to the label on the pack for the ingredients, packing date and best-before information. Add Suvarna Desi Hallikar Cow Ghee to your cart for a classic cooking fat that suits both everyday meals and festive recipes.
